The LUX Solar LSC-250 charge controller uses an advanced MPPT algorithm to ensure maximum power is transferred from the solar panel to your battery. Compared to a leading PWM charger our controller offers significant gains in efficiency and overall performance as can be seen from the graph below
Our charge controller circuitry is coated in an IP68 nano coating and then surrounded by an IP67 case making it ideal for wet and corrosive environments. This removes heating and longevity problems often seen with epoxy encapsulated designs. Epoxy coated designs must be thrown away when a failure occurs as the circuit is not repairable or removable from the case. Our controller comes with a 2 year warranty and if there were any failures after this time, we would be able to quickly replace the internal circuit and add any upgrades that we have developed over that time.
Our controller is certified to IP67 and carries the CE mark. IP67 states the controller is waterproof to one metre of water for up to 30 minutes. However we have run our controller underwater for a period of 8 days with no issues. The LSC-250 is suitable for both 12 and 24 volt systems.
Our MPPT controller utilises a high efficiency three stage charging algorithm optimised for lead acid batteries to ensure maximum battery life. It also has an automatic load disconnect feature for ensuring deep discharge (DOD) will not occur on your batteries.
Our controllers utilise the LUX Solar quick connect system and include two extra sets of IP67 MC4 connectors, LUX Solar quick connect removal tool, and a detailed instruction manual.
It is capable of 125 watts of solar input for 12 volt systems, or 250 watts for 24 volt systems, making it ideal for all small vessels. An example of a set up it could run from 12 Volts would be a 40 litre fridge, a small flat screen TV, a fish finder, some LED lights and instrumentation.
