Class T fuses are specifically designed for high-current, high-fault-potential circuits. Their fast-acting nature limits energy let-through, reducing the risk of damage to expensive equipment and wiring. These are ideal for larger lithium battery banks which can deliver high fault current.

Why Class T?

• With one of the highest interrupt ratings available, Class T fuses can safely break massive fault currents without exploding or arcing—making them ideal for Lithium battery-based systems where fault currents can be extreme.
• Unlike slower fuse types, Class T fuses provide consistent, precise protection, helping ensure your system behaves exactly as designed during fault conditions.

Which fuse and holder do I need?

Size the fuse to your inverter or battery manufacturer's recommended rating, and install it in the positive battery cable as close to the battery as practical. If you're not sure which rating suits your system, email technical@luxsolar.co.nz and we'll point you to the right one.
