Double Insulated, Twin Core Solar Cable (4mm-6mm)

Two cores, one neat run. Twin core solar cable carries the positive and negative conductors inside a single double-insulated outer sheath — tidier and faster to install than running two separate single-core cables. It's a popular choice for wiring solar panels to charge controllers and for general 12V / 24V DC wiring in caravans, motorhomes, boats, and off-grid systems.

All of our cable is double-insulated UV resistant Solar Cable. We only use corrosion resistant tinned copper making it suitable for marine environments.

Choosing the right cable size

If you are unsure of the correct cable size to use please contact us. In general from the solar panel to the solar controller 4 or 6 mm cable is sufficient. From the controller to the battery the safest option is to use the thickest cable the solar controller will take and mount it as close to the batteries as possible to minimise voltage drop.

PLEASE NOTE - we are temporarily out of stock on our usual 6mm2 double-insulated tinned copper cable - we are currently substituting the 6mm version of a tinned copper cable with a slightly different appearance from that in the photos. Our single-core 6 mm² double-insulated tinned-copper cable is still in stock as usual.
