ePRO+ High Precision Battery Monitor

The ePRO+ is the latest generation, highly advanced battery monitor that combines an intelligent shunt with a remote control display unit. The shunt features a Grid Optimised footprint, ensuring seamless integration with DC Modular products. This advanced battery monitor not only displays the true state of charge of your battery system but also provides a wealth of additional features to optimally supervise your battery system and control external equipment. It is compatible with both lead-based and lithium batteries (LiFePO4).

The ePRO+ can monitor up to three battery banks. Additionally, the inputs for battery banks 2 and 3 can be configured for alternative functions, such as mid-point voltage measurement, keyswitch input, setup lock, or backlight control. The ePRO+ supports DC currents up to 600Amps (500Amp continuous) and voltages up to 70Vdc, making it suitable for use with any lead- or lithium-based battery ranging from 12V to 48V.

Installation is efficient, requiring only a single supply wire to the intelligent shunt base and a single ‘QuickLink’ cable to connect the shunt base to the control/display unit (CDU). The shunt must be inserted into the high-current circuit by interrupting the battery minus cable. Both the fused supply wire and the QuickLink cable are included in the package, eliminating the need for a separate connection kit.

The ePRO+ 2-Channel Alarm Expander Kit provides two additional alarm relays for your ePRO+ device via the QuickLink port. This kit is useful for applications that require each alarm type to be assigned to a dedicated relay contact.

The Alarm Expander also has the capability to function as a relay contact. Relays A and B in the Alarm Expander can be combined to control the 'open (reset)' and 'close (set)' coils of a dual-coil magnetically latching contactor. The choice of relay contact for controlling the contactor coils depends on whether the contactor operates in a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) configuration.
