This page carries four Victron battery management systems for Smart LiFePO4 battery banks — the VE.Bus BMS and the smallBMS, each in its original and NG version. Choose the one you need from the variant dropdown.
Which one do I need?
- VE.Bus BMS (BMS300200000) and VE.Bus BMS NG (BMS300200300) — the versions with a VE.Bus interface, so these are the ones to use with a VE.Bus MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/charger.
- smallBMS (BMS400100000) and smallBMS NG (BMS400100300) — no VE.Bus interface, for Smart LiFePO4 banks without a VE.Bus inverter/charger.
About the smallBMS
A simple and low-cost alternative to the VE.Bus BMS. The smallBMS can replace the VE.Bus BMS in several applications. It is, however, not suitable for use with VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers as it has no VE.Bus interface. The smallBMS is intended for use with Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries with M8 circular connectors. The smallBMS has two outputs, similar to the VE.Bus BMS.
