LiFePO4 Battery - Enhanced Cell Protection
Prevent cell under voltage, over voltage, and over temperature with the advanced features of the LiFePO4 battery.
Key Features:
- Integrated cell balancing ensures maximum performance and reliability across all Victron LiFePO4 batteries.
- Dual protection system includes:
- Automatic load shut down to prevent cell under voltage.
- Reduction or shut down of the charging current during:
- Imminent cell over voltage
- High temperature (>50°C)
- Low temperature (<0°C)
- The VE.Bus BMS acts as the core of the second protection line to ensure safe operation, compatible with several VE.Bus controllable Cyrix switches for enhanced safety.
Cyrix Switch Options
Cyrix-Li-Load
- Automatically disengages when the battery voltage drops dangerously low.
- Re-engages after voltage recovery with a 30-second delay and performs three attempts before remaining disengaged.
- An alternative option: BatteryProtect (recommended for low power consumption).
Cyrix-Li-Charge
- Connects a battery charger with a short 3-second delay when:
- Battery voltage is at least 13.0V (or 26V/52V for specific models).
- Charger connection terminal voltage is 13.0V or more.
- Battery terminal voltage is above 2V.
- Automatically disengages if the battery experiences overvoltage, overheating, or voltage drops.
- Reconnects charging automatically when the overvoltage or overheating reset occurs, ensuring uninterrupted performance.
Cyrix-Li-ct
- Designed to parallel connect a lead acid starter battery and LiFePO4 battery when the Charge Disconnect output of the VE.Bus BMS is high and battery voltage exceeds 13.4V (or 26.8V for different models).
- Automatically disengages during cell overvoltage, overheating, or when battery voltage drops below 13.2V.
- Includes a start assist function where a short negative pulse closes the relay for 30 seconds.
