The Victron Orion-Tr Isolated DC-DC converter takes the voltage from one battery bank and converts it cleanly to the voltage your equipment needs. Because the input and output are galvanically isolated, it breaks ground loops, blocks electrical noise, and keeps your circuits safely separated — the version to choose for marine systems, sensitive electronics, and any install where a shared earth would cause problems. (If you don't need isolation, the non-isolated Orion-Tr is a lower-cost alternative.)

With 25 models covering 12V, 24V and 48V inputs and outputs from 110W up to 400W, there's a converter here for almost any setup — campervans and caravans, boats, RVs, and off-grid systems right across New Zealand.

How to choose the right model

2. Match the output voltage to the appliance you want to run (check its label or manual).
3. Pick the amperage/wattage comfortably above what your appliance draws — leaving headroom keeps the converter running cool and reliable.
